Writing tips
Your title and description are the advert for your page in Google. A few simple habits make them clearer and more clickable.
Title
Put the main topic or product first and your brand at the end. Searchers scan the first few words.
Title
Google cuts titles at around 580 pixels on desktop, which is roughly 50 to 60 characters. Wide letters use more space.
Description
Say what the page gives the visitor and why it is worth clicking. Put the key message in the first line.
Both
Duplicate titles and descriptions confuse Google and searchers. Write them for each page, especially products and collections.
FAQ
Aim for 50 to 60 characters, but what really matters is pixel width. Google cuts titles at roughly 580 pixels on desktop, so a title full of wide letters can be cut off sooner. This checker measures the width for you.
Around 120 to 155 characters works well. Google shows roughly 920 pixels on desktop and less on mobile, so put the most important message first in case the end is cut.
Google sometimes rewrites them to better match a search, especially if yours are missing, too long, repetitive or do not describe the page well. Clear, accurate text that matches the page is more likely to be used as written.

No. The checker runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored.
